SoSimple Announces Update to Stripe Form Builder Payments

March 17th, 2021 by Kristen Yeager

SoSimple Interactive, developer of SoSimple CMS, has recently released an update to their Form Builder page type. This update allows clients to provide their Stripe donors and form payment makers to cover the associated Stripe payment processing fees.

When using the payment settings on a Form Builder page type, there are currently 2 credit card payment gateways available – PayPal or Stripe. These payment gateways come with a priceUnlike PayPal, Stripe payments are handled completely within the form, allowing your form submission data to reflect accurate payment statuses.

SoSimple has added an optional setting to allow your donors to opt into covering that processing fee. When you choose Stripe as your payment method in the Form Settings, there is now a field available titled “Give Customer Ability to Pay for Credit Card Processing Fees?”. If this field is set to yes, a checkbox will appear on the front-end form, allowing form submitters to cover the fees. The payment and fee totals will be listed independently, both to the form submitter on the front-end, and within your form submissions in the CMS.
