SoSimple Announces New Users Panel Feature

SoSimple is pleased to announce the release of a new feature for the Users panel. This feature provides the ability to bulk assign access to website pages for Author and Editor level users.

When the User Type is set to Author or Editor, a list of site pages with checkboxes will appear:

Simply check pages individually, or bulk check all to easily and quickly assign pages to non-admin users.

This upgrade is currently available for all existing SoSimple CMS clients.

SoSimple Announces Marketing+ Relationships Feature

SoSimple is pleased to announce the release of a new feature for Marketing+. This feature provides the ability to connect Marketing+ records together via their relation type - parent/guardian, family member, spouse, and more.

For Marketing+ clients, the Relationship feature appears in the bottom left corner of any record's detail panel:

Use the "Add Relationship +" button to add a new connection to an existing member's profile. When setting relationships with a member, the corresponding relationship entry will be created on the matching member's profile.

Marketing+ also supports bulk importing Relationships via CSV file using existing member ID numbers or email addresses:

SoSimple Announces Marketing+ Member Merge Feature

SoSimple is pleased to announce the release of a new feature for Marketing+. This feature provides the ability to merge and combine duplicate records within a Marketing+ database.

For Marketing+ clients, the Merge button appears in the upper right, next to the Update button:

When merging members, you can search your database for the corresponding record with which to merge. As a result, the original member that was modified will be removed and all additional data will be merged with the selected matching record.

This upgrade is currently available for all existing SoSimple Marketing+ clients.

SoSimple Releases Discount Codes Feature

SoSimple is pleased to announce the release of our new Discount Codes feature within Forms Builder, designed for users who have Payment Forms enabled.

With this new capability, you can easily enable the Discount Code option in your payment form, then name the discount code, designate the code, specify the amount or percentage of the discount, and choose the start and end date that the code will be valid.

On the payment page, payers will simply enter their discount code and click “Click to apply discount code.” The system will check and confirm that the code is valid and applies the discount to the total.

This new feature adds an enhanced level of payment options for our SoSimple users.

SoSimple Announces Marketing+ Autofill Feature

SoSimple is pleased to announce the release of a new feature for Form Builder. This feature provides the ability to automatically fill form fields with information associated with the logged-in user on Marketing + protected forms.

For Marketing+ clients, enabling the Autofill feature is a simple toggle button at the form settings level.

As always, SoSimple listens and responds to the needs of our customers, oftentimes developing useful new enhancements to our platform based on their needs. This Autofill feature came as a direct response to one of our clients’ requests and we know it will be especially helpful to all of our clients using Marketing + with intranets.

SoSimple Releases Form Submission Editing Feature

SoSimple is pleased to announce the release of our new Edit Form Submission feature within Form Builder.

The new Edit Form Submission feature enables users to modify form submission data directly within the Submissions & Reports section of Form Builder pages. This functionality streamlines the process of updating and correcting information received through submitted forms, providing users with greater control and efficiency in managing their data.

To edit a Form Submission, first open the submission and click the "Edit Submission" button in the upper right:

From there, edit any relevant details within the submission, and click the Submit button at the bottom:

SoSimple has also implemented two notification enhancements to the Edit Form Submission feature. These highlighted notes will help clarify the editing of submissions and reduce possible risk of omissions in your Marketing + records and payment processing. Please see MARKETING+ NOTE and PAYMENT NOTE in the graphics above.

This upgrade is currently available in Beta for all existing SoSimple CMS clients.

The Passionists Spiritual Places Launches New Website

The Passionists have launched a new custom website for their Spiritual Places, with the help of SoSimple Interactive.

The Passionists Spiritual Places is a single website, comprised of a primary site with general information, and multiple subsites for their various retreat centers in Florida, Pennsylvania, and New York. Each subsite matches the overall website design for a cohesive and unified experience.

This new website is mobile-optimized and responsive, allowing site content to automatically reformat and be optimally displayed across all viewing platforms – computers, tablets or smart phones. The website was also built on SoSimple’s Content Management System (CMS), allowing the client to easily self-manage and update its content throughout the year.

SoSimple System Upgrades: Scheduled Email Times and Unsubscribe Settings

Marketing+ users can now enjoy 2 new features as part of a recent upgrade to SoSimple's Marketing+ interface.

Scheduled Email Timeframes

Marketing+ users now have an additional field available when scheduling emails: "Send Time (Range)"

This menu provides 2 hour windows in which the scheduled email will be sent.

Managing Unsubscribe Settings

Marketing+ users can now provide their database members to re-subscribe or adjust their subscription settings at any time using the new "Manage Subscription" button:

Clicking this button for any emailable record within Marketing+ will provide a front-end branded URL that can be sent to contacts from your database to adjust their own subscription/unsubscribe settings at any time. To comply with spam laws, only the database record/member should edit settings found within this customized URL.

Recent SoSimple System Upgrades

The SoSimple team has recently released multiple upgrades across various page types and system features over the last few months. Below is a quick guide to what's new, and how you can learn more about it!

Toggle and Active Status Upgrades

Layout Boxes and Sections got a slight facelift! Layout boxes now have an on/off toggle directly on the box, so users no longer need to edit the Advanced Settings to make a single box inactive. We've also upgraded the inactive box and section styles to make it even more apparent that content is currently turned off.

We've also added in the ability to choose active and hide dates for all layout boxes and sections. Just like you see in your Page Settings, you can now set "make available after" and "hide" dates for on-page content.

New Shared Content Types

We have added 2 more page types to the dynamic Shared Content options: Member Directory and Resources.

You can now feed members from a Member Directory page utilizing department categories. With this update also comes a new feature to Member Directory department categories - the option to make categories hidden. This provides the ability to filter members using groups that otherwise may not be desired to use as filters within the source directory page.

Resources can be fed utilizing sections as categories. This feature allows users to feed an entire category of resources to any content pages within their entire site.

Portfolio Builder Interface Upgrades

We've made a series of improvements to the Portfolio Builder page type interface, including:

A location trail to follow you through category/filter group/option management
The ability to search items by category and keyword
Bulk select & update items
Bulk updating categories/filter groups/ options

SoSimple System Upgrade: Bulk Emailing Blog and Calendar Items

Quick Bulk Email Sharing for Blog and Calendar / Event Page Types

Marketing+ users now have the ability to bulk email preset groups with dynamically shared blog and calendar content directly from the respective pages. To set this up on your own Blog or Calendar pages, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Create a Template with the Needed Merge Tag

The first step in this process is creating an email template that contains the proper merge tag (%article_or_event_share_content%):

Step 2: Configure your Settings

Next, you need to configure your settings within the “Blog Settings” or “Event Settings” sections of the respective page type:

Step 3: Select and Send out Your Emails!

After the above settings are setup, you can send out your emails one at a time or in bulk:
