Tile America Launches New and Improved Website

Tile America has launched their newly redesigned website this week with the help of SoSimple interactive.
By “re-skinning” the old Tile America website, SoSimple Interactive was able to utilize all of the content from the old website, without having to re-input any information.
The redesigned website has a much more clean and modern look, but preserves the simple navigation of the old site. The usability of the site is improved with the new sleek look, reducing clutter on each page to help important information stand out.
The homepage features a full-page rotating photo gallery, which includes visually stimulating images of the company’s products accompanied by translucent geometric overlays providing information.
The “My Wishlist” page features a custom built page to allow users to add products to their own “Wishlist” as they browse the site by clicking a small heart shaped icon, similar to a retail website’s shopping cart feature.
The Inspiration Gallery and Tile Products galleries are both link image grid page typse that link to images by category and style. The Tile Products page features a custom built link image grid allowing users to first choose a product category, then choose a specific product within each category. Both galleries feature multiple category filtering system, allowing site visitors to filter the number of elements on the page. This feature makes it incredibly easy to view products that are relevant to their needs.
The new website still stays true to the black and gold color scheme of Tile America, evident in buttons, links and images throughout the site. From the page banners to the footer of this new site, the clean and open-air style allows for a much better user experience.
For mobile users, the new website includes responsive, mobile-optimized design, including SoSimple CMS’ recently updated responsive page layouts throughout the site, allowing the site to automatically reformat to ensure that content is always displayed in an optimal manner across all viewing platforms - desktop, tablet or smart phone.
