Lyndon Institute Launches New Website

Lyndon Institute, an independent day and boarding school for students grades 9 –12, recently launched its newly redesigned website with the help of SoSimple Interactive.
Founded in 1867 and located in Vermont, Lyndon Institute offers a 150-course curriculum specializing in core and honors, fine and performing arts, and technical and career programs. It offers a strong athletic program, many clubs, and options for day students or residential living. With such a wide breadth of information to include, Lyndon Institute selected SoSimple Interactive to create its new custom website because of our robust SoSimple content management system and best-in-class client services.
The new website features a visually rich design with strong, bold school branding. Vibrant photos and videos capture student life, the beautiful Lyndon Institute campus, events, and activities. The website is also a comprehensive hub of information for new and current families, alumni, and the community. Directories for Administration, Staff, and the Board of Trustees provide parents with easy access to contact information. Password-protected portals bring students, parents, and faculty/staff to their own respective sections of the website. The website also includes downloadable Course Catalogs, newsletters, and an interactive map the helps new and prospective families navigate the Lyndon Institute grounds, with photos depicting each building on campus. The school’s online Calendar keeps students and parents abreast of upcoming events and athletic schedule, while a link to the School Store is present for students and alumni to conveniently purchase Lyndon-branded apparel, accessories, and novelty items.
Lyndon Institute also fully used the vast potential of SoSimple’s built-in Form Builder, creating custom forms for Applications, Information Requests, Medical forms, and Athletic Permission forms. The school also created an Online Giving form with online payment collection, making contributions easy for donors and assisting the Advancement initiatives of the school.
For mobile students and parents, the new website is built with a responsive, mobile-optimized design. This allows the site to automatically reformat content to be displayed optimally across all viewing platforms - desktop, tablet or smart phone. The new website also utilizes SoSimple’s Content Management System, allowing Lyndon Institute to easily self-manage their website using a host of built-in tools, updating and expanding its website to meet its needs.
