SoSimple CMS Update: SEO, Shared Content, and Portfolio Builder Updates
September 21st, 2022
SoSimple has recently rolled out multiple system updates, including upgrades to the SEO Page Settings, Shared Content area, and Portfolio Builder page type.
SEO and Social Sharing Previews
The Search Engine Optimization/SEO section of the Page Settings is now Search Engine/Social Media Sharing Optimization & Site Search Settings. This section has been updated to include updated search engine preview results, and expanded to also include Facebook and Twitter social media share previews.
In addition to the updated Google search listing preview style, the new preview Facebook and Twitter post preview options show samples of how a social media post using the current page URL will display on either network. These options will utilize page banner images as part of the post, which you can see displaying in the samples above.
This update is available to all SoSimple CMS accounts.
Shared Content Advanced Search
We have added additional advanced search options to the Shared Content area, making it quicker and easier to locate and edit any existing Shared Content items. In addition to the existing Category filter menu, CMS users can now also filter Shared Content by the type of shared content, as well as searching for an item by name, or any combination of the 3.
This update is available to all SoSimple CMS accounts.
Portfolio Builder Detail Page Content Editor
The detail page content editor on all Portfolio Builder pages has been updated from a single static content editor to the full advanced page builder interface.
This page type upgrade allows all Portfolio Builder users the freedom and functionality of the advanced Content Page builder directly within each Portfolio Builder grid item. Users now have full functionality of the advanced page builder for all Portfolio Builder grid items, including background colors and images, static, slideshow, and shared content box functionality, and more!
The addition of this advanced page builder within a grid item negates the need for detail page redirect URLs, as it allows users to create their detail content directly within the grid item details. For all website created prior to this update, any existing detail page content will be transferred over to a single Static Content layout box within the new page builder.
This update is available to all SoSimple CMS accounts with the Portfolio Builder page type activated.
